About Me
I’m a Tokyo-based journalist covering food, travel, and culture in Japan, with a focus on the everyday details that define a place. My work explores how local cuisine, neighborhoods, and regional histories intersect—whether in a quiet shotengai, a coastal town, or a destination just beyond the usual itinerary.
I’ve traveled through 37 of Japan’s 47 prefectures, reporting on both well-known and overlooked places. My work has appeared in Tokyo Weekender, Voyapon, JRPass.com, JapanDen, and several regional tourism organizations.
My Services
In addition to writing, I bring a strong background in photography, videography, and editing, offering a well-rounded creative skill set for visual storytelling. Whether it’s crafting compelling narratives, capturing striking images, producing dynamic video content, or refining projects through post-production, I provide end-to-end support to help bring ideas to life across multiple media platforms.
I’ve also spent multiple years producing content on YouTube, where I developed hands-on experience in script writing, editing, and managing visual media. I’m proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Lightroom.
“You can make anything by writing.”
